1. Start on demo
Every account has a demo account with practice money. Use it to learn the platform and test your ideas without risk.
2. Understand what you trade
When you buy, you profit if the price goes up. When you sell, you profit if the price goes down. Your result depends on the size of the trade (lots) and how far the price moves.
3. Always use a stop loss
A stop loss closes your trade automatically at a price you choose, so one bad trade cannot damage your whole account.
4. Risk a small part of your balance
Many traders risk 1 to 2 percent of their balance on a single trade. Choose the lot size from the distance to your stop loss.
5. Keep a trading plan
Write down why you enter, where you exit and how much you risk. Review your trades every week.
